Special Stains

Our Special Stains are histology reagents used to selectively highlight specific tissue components, structures, or molecules that are not easily visualized with routine stains like hematoxylin and eosin (H&E). These stains include techniques such as Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS) and Alcian Blue, each tailored to detect features like carbohydrates, collagen, or mucins, respectively. Special stains are critical for diagnostic pathology and research, enabling detailed morphological and biochemical characterization of tissues.
