Avidin and biotinylated reagents are used in protein detection systems to enhance sensitivity and specificity.
Biotin is a small molecule that can be covalently attached to antibodies or other probes without affecting their function.
Avidin (or its derivative streptavidin) binds biotin with extremely high affinity, allowing strong and stable interactions. When avidin is conjugated to enzymes or fluorophores, it can amplify the signal from biotin-labeled targets. This system is widely used in techniques such as Western blotting, ELISA, and Immunofluorescence (IF).
We offer avidin and biotinylated reagents available as enzyme-conjugated, unconjugated, fluorophore-conjugated, and biotinylated forms to support diverse detection and labeling needs.
