Homobifunctional Carboxyl-Reactive Monoprotected Cross-Linkers are reagents that feature two reactive carboxyl groups, but one of the carboxyl groups is protected to prevent premature reaction. The unprotected carboxyl group is available to covalently bind to amine or other reactive groups on biomolecules, enabling the formation of stable cross-links. These cross-linkers are used primarily in protein-protein conjugations, biomolecule immobilization, and surface functionalization.
By providing a controlled method for linking biomolecules through carboxyl groups, they are valuable in applications such as affinity assays, biosensor development, and nanoparticle functionalization, ensuring precise and stable conjugation while minimizing unwanted side reactions.
