Amino-dPEG®24-amido-dPEG®24-acid, product number QBD-10907, is a PEGylated amino acid consisting of a primary amine group on one end and a propionic acid group sit on opposite ends of a long (152 atoms, 178.9 Å), single molecular weight polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer with a discrete chain length (dPEG®). The dPEG® spacer consists of two dPEG®24 chains joined by an amide bond, giving the spacer the effective length of a dPEG48 linker. The highly hydrophilic, discrete PEG spacer (Ð = 1) increases the hydrodynamic volume and imparts water solubility to conjugates that incorporate it. Moreover, Amino-dPEG®24-amido-dPEG®24-acid may benefit numerous applications, including peptide synthesis, peptide modification, surface modification, oligonucleotide sequencing, drug delivery, and small molecule modification.

Amino-dPEG®8-acid, product number QBD-10277, is an amino PEG acid. A primary amine and propionic acid terminate the ends of the polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer. The single molecular weight PEG spacer is discrete (Ð = 1) and highly hydrophilic. Consequently, it increases the hydrodynamic volume and imparts water solubility to conjugates that incorporate it.

Both ends of the molecule are available for conjugation. Conjugation of only one end of the dPEG® spacer may modify the overall charge of the conjugate. Many different types of coupling reactions are effective for this purpose. However, care should be taken not to use single-step EDC coupling, as this will polymerize the dPEG® product.

Scientific publications report the use of Amino-dPEG®8-acid in modifying diverse compounds including antibodies, enzymes, carbon nanotubes, and SU-8 (an epoxy-based negative photoresist) layered atop a quartz surface. In each case, amino-dPEG®8-acid was shown to improve the performance of the conjugate compared to the unmodified material. The improved conjugate performance occurred through increased signal-to-noise ratio, reduced non-specific binding, or both.

Amino-dPEG®4-acid, product number QBD-10244, is an amino PEG acid.

In the scientific literature, this product has been used to modify diverse compounds, including protein microarrays, biological molecules such as antibodies, RGD dimers, and labeled nucleotides. In each case, amino-dPEG®4-acid was shown to improve sensitivity by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio, reducing non-specific binding, or both.

Amino-dPEG®6-acid, product number 10067, is a PEGylated amino acid consisting of a primary amine and a propionic acid on opposite ends of a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer. The flexible PEG spacer is discrete (Ð = 1), having a single chain length and molecular weight. Moreover, it is highly hydrophilic, increasing the hydrodynamic volume and imparting water solubility to conjugates that incorporate it. Furthermore, Amino-dPEG®6-acid is helpful in wide-ranging applications, including peptide synthesis, surface modification, dendrimer construction, and small molecule modification.

Description

Amino-dPEG®6-acid, product number QBD-10067, is a PEGylated amino acid consisting of a primary amine and a propionic acid on opposite ends of a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer.
