Vascular network surrounding a normal human scalp hair follicle in the anagen/active phase of the hair growth cycle. This was captured using confocal microscopy from 100 micron thick vertical scalp biopsy that was stained with Ulex europaeus conjugated to FITC. This plant lectin recognizes L-fucose moieties often in blood vessels.
