Immunofluorescent stain of L1T2 cells, which express Kaposi’s Sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV). Latent viral episomes are tethered to the host chromatin by the Latency-Associated Nuclear Antigen (LANA; green), indicated by the punctate dots that co-localize with the chromatin (DAPI; blue). The number of LANA-dots is variable between cells, and some retain no LANA. Actin (rhodamine phalloidin; red) staining shows the extensive filamentous network indicating the boundaries of the cytoskeleton. Primary antibody: mouse monoclonal anti-ORF73 (ATGen) 1:200.
